New healthy skin cells are created in the skin’s deepest layer, the dermis. Over time, the cells migrate to the top of your skin surface and get damaged along the way by daily skin stresses. The result is known as the “Aging Process”, and after menopause for women, the natural process of skin erosion becomes uneven, which gives skin a dry and rough character. Exfoliation removes the outer layer to reveal the newer skin beneath. As well, this shedding of the outer layer unclogs pores, keeps skin clean, and helps reduce acne breakouts.
While exfoliation is an important step, if you suffer from acne it’s only a small step. Dr. Wright’s dual phase cleanser, DUAL ACTION B.P. SCRUB, incorporates purifying granules to reach deep into the pores, draw out impurities, and significantly reduce acne breakouts.
Dr. Wright’s Tip
Dual Action B.P. (Benzoyl Peroxide) Scrub is a great exfoliant that when teamed with Benzoyl Peroxide can help to combat adolescent or menopausal acne. This powerful dual action works as a resurfacing agent, increasing skin turnover and clearing pores, and also reduces the bacterial count – working directly as an antimicrobial. The purifying granules have been designed to reach deep into the pores, draw out impurities, and significantly reduce acne breakouts – without irritating your skin!
For the most effective use when using cleansers containing Benzoyl Peroxide, wet the affected area and gently rub the cleanser into the skin for 10-20 seconds. Work into a full lather and rinse thoroughly and then pat dry. If too much drying occurs, you may need to rinse the cleanser off sooner. When done routinely, a perfect complexion can be yours!
